Yilong Coatings was invited to participate in the Chongqing City Paint Manufacturers’ Procurement and Cost Reduction Experience Exchange Meeting.

At 2:30 p.m. on May 20, 2021, representatives from more than 20 paint manufacturing companies in Chongqing gathered—basking in the gentle breeze—at Chongqing Xinyongyang Iron-Plastic Packaging Co., Ltd., a member organization located in Damiao Industrial Park, Tongliang District, to attend the “Chongqing Paint Manufacturers’ Procurement Cost Reduction Experience Exchange Meeting” hosted by the Green Paint Sub-association of the Chongqing Paint and Coating Industry Association. Chen Yun, General Manager of Yilong Paint, and Gong Weiqi, Head of the Procurement Department at Yilong Paint, were invited to attend the meeting.

The meeting began with opening remarks by President Chen Yun of the Green Coatings Branch of the Chongqing Coatings and Painting Industry Association, Secretary-General Cai Kaiyun, and Secretary-General Li Fu of the Association’s General Office. Subsequently, three special reports were delivered by Mr. Gong Weiqi, Director of the Procurement Department at Yilong Company; Mr. Zhang Mai, General Manager of Juzhan Company; and Mr. Wang Denglun, General Manager of Ryan Company, on the topics of “Role Transformation and Model Shift,” “Cost Reduction Strategies in Raw Material Procurement,” and “Ryan Coatings’ Procurement Experience Sharing,” respectively. Representatives from more than 20 coating manufacturing enterprises then shared their targeted suggestions for dealing with the sudden surge in raw material prices following the 2021 Spring Festival. Representatives from companies such as Three Gorges, Yilong, Ryan, Hongqi, and Batus were particularly active in speaking up; everyone was open and candid, and the discussion at the meeting was exceptionally lively. Participants unanimously expressed their hope that the association would organize more events like this one, working together to tackle unexpected crises, fostering collaborative development, turning “crises” into “opportunities,” and enabling enterprises to continue growing and thriving!

Wang Zemin, General Manager of Chongqing Xinyongyang Iron & Plastic Packaging Co., Ltd., the organizer of the exchange meeting, also delivered a speech, expressing his willingness to contribute to reducing costs for Chongqing’s coating enterprises. Finally, all the attending delegates toured the new factory’s streamlined production line at Xinyongyang Company. Everyone enthusiastically praised the new factory’s advanced construction, state-of-the-art equipment, and excellent on-site management!
