Grand Commissioning Ceremony of Tuoyu Coatings’ New Factory Successfully Held | Political, Enterprise & Industry Leaders Discuss the New Future of the Coatings Sector
On April 28, 2025, the grand opening ceremony of Chongqing Tuoyu Coatings Co., Ltd. was successfully held in Shuijiang, Nanchuan, Chongqing. Attendees included leaders from the Nanchuan District Government, the China National Coatings Industry Association, local coatings industry associations, industry partners, and distinguished guests from all walks of life. Everyone gathered to witness the significant milestone of the official production launch of Tuoyu Coatings, marking a magnificent new starting point for the company.
The event, themed “Blaze New Trails, Stand Uniquely Apart”, featured intangible cultural heritage performances, speeches by leaders and a production launch ceremony. It demonstrated Tuoyu Coatings’ determination to take root in Nanchuan and deepen its presence in the industry, as well as the confidence of government, political and enterprise representatives in jointly supporting industrial development and upgrading. The performance of Bayu intangible cultural heritage kicked off the ceremony, sounding a powerful clarion call for forging ahead and blazing new trails.
The celebration kicked off with the bold and powerful singing of Chuanjiang Haozi, a national-level intangible cultural heritage. Performers reproduced the hard struggle of trackers rowing against the current with resounding chants. This echoes Nanchuan’s regional spirit of “mountain soul and water charm”, and coincides perfectly with Tuoyu Coatings’ development philosophy: “Build quality with the steadiness of mountains, drive innovation with the agility of water”. Drawing on the experience and accumulation of its sister company Yilong Coatings, Tuoyu Coatings stands ready and brave to embark on a new journey.

Chairman Chen Yun: Voice of a "Trailblazer" after 24 Years of Dedication
Mr. Chen Yun, Chairman of Tuoyu Coatings, reviewed the company’s 24-year journey from a "small local skiff" to a "large industry vessel". He stated frankly that "every step is soaked in perspiration". He expressed special gratitude for the thoughtful services provided by the Nanchuan Government and the care and guidance from industry associations. He highlighted three core strengths of the new factory:
Solid technical capability: The digital central control system realizes precise feeding and accurate data collection. Both production capacity and product quality have improved after five months of trial production.
New green orientation: Environmentally friendly production lines complying with national standards have been built to respond to the call for "low carbon and dual reduction".
Broad development vision: Expanding from serving Southwest China to nationwide layout and overseas export, taking "customized services" as its core competitiveness.
"The future will no longer be a lone battle. Instead, we will keep pace with local development and resonate with industry trends." Mr. Chen Yun remarked. Taking the grand opening as a new starting point, Tuoyu will write a new chapter for coatings of "Chongqing Manufacturing".
Deputy District Chief Jin Qiang: New Industrial Opportunities for Nanchuan Amid Overlapping Strategies, the Shining Representative of Shuijiang Cluster
Jin Qiang, Member of the Standing Committee of Nanchuan District Party Committee and Deputy District Chief of Chongqing Nanchuan District, pointed out in his speech that Chongqing is benefiting from the overlay of national-level strategies including the New Era Western Development Program and the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle. As an important base for the industrial transformation and upgrading of Chongqing, Nanchuan is accelerating its transformation from traditional manufacturing toward “digitalization, greenization and intelligentization”.
Member Jin Qiang extended his expectations to Tuoyu Coatings. He hoped that the enterprise would give full play to its advantages in technological innovation, deeply connect upstream and downstream resources of the industrial chain, strengthen regional industrial coordination, act as a benchmark to become the “shining representative” of Nanchuan’s industry, and inject strong momentum into regional economic growth.
Secretary-General Liu Jie: Tuoyu’s Mission in an Era of Industrial Transformation
Liu Jie, Secretary-General of China National Coatings Industry Association, expressed earnest expectations for Tuoyu from an industry-wide perspective: “We hope that supported by the R&D capacity and intelligent manufacturing of the new factory, Tuoyu will uphold the philosophy of ‘quality as foundation, green as priority’. Within the framework of the Association’s mission of ‘serving the industry and leading innovation’, Tuoyu will grow into a benchmark enterprise for the industrial upgrading of the western coatings sector.”

Lion Eye-Dotting Ceremony: Chairman Chen Yun and Executive Director Gong Weiqi dotted the eyes of the auspicious lions. "The first dot promises a bright future; the second dot brings prosperous business avenues." This folk ritual prays for the enterprise’s vigorous growth and lasting good fortune year after year.
New Factory Commissioning Launch Ceremony: Mao Chaoyin, Chairman of the CPPCC Nanchuan District Committee of Chongqing; Jin Qiang, Member of the Standing Committee of Nanchuan District Party Committee, Deputy District Chief of Nanchuan District Government and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Industrial Park; Liu Jie, Secretary-General of China National Coatings Industry Association; Chen Yun, Chairman of Tuoyu Coatings, together with other five guests, pressed the launch button. Amid fluttering colorful ribbons, the event marked the official commissioning of Tuoyu Coatings.
Virtual Tour of the New Factory: Through pre-recorded live footage, guests gained an intuitive experience of the “digital features” of the intelligent workshop. Visitors could personally experience Tuoyu Factory’s modern intelligent manufacturing production model via the real-scene video.
Grand Opening & Commissioning Marks a New Voyage: Anchoring Direction and Goals for a Fresh Start
This celebration is not only a milestone for Tuoyu Coatings, but also marks a crucial step in the development plan of Tuoyu and Yilong. With the commissioning of the new factory’s 50,000-ton annual output environmentally friendly coatings project, the enterprise will deeply serve sectors including automobile & motorcycle, equipment manufacturing and new energy, building a local coatings brand in Southwest China. Driven jointly by favorable policies, industrial support and pragmatic corporate efforts, a western coatings enterprise focusing on “green intelligent manufacturing” is expanding from Nanchuan toward a broader market arena.
