From March 24 to 25, the “2021 China International Coatings Conference” was held in Chuzhou, Anhui Province.

This conference, themed “New Development, New Concepts, New Paradigms,” attracted enthusiastic participation from leading coating industry experts from across the country.

The conference conducted an in-depth discussion and interpretation of the development and policies of the coatings industry. The conference proposed driving green development through technological innovation and fostering an integrated industrial ecosystem that combines production, academia, research, and application. In particular, by establishing a new industrial environment and providing policy guidance, the conference aims to continuously support the growth of the coatings industry, especially in areas such as technological innovation and high-quality development. Secretary-General Liu Jie also provided a thorough discussion and analysis of the 2020 economic performance of China’s coatings industry as well as trends for 2021.

Sun Lianying, President of the China Coatings Industry Association, stated at the conference that the development of China’s coatings industry will focus primarily on strengthening innovation-driven development and tackling key core technologies, enhancing the quality of development, and increasing the proportion of environmentally friendly coatings, thereby achieving an overall transformation and upgrade of the industry.

This conference has formulated a new plan for the coatings industry during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and recognized enterprises that have achieved high-quality development in the coatings industry during the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
